Pho Republic opened with a short menu. The restaurant soft-opened on October 8 at 2525 Main St., Suite 400, with a limited lineup, and Community Impact reported that the menu would grow after a grand opening. Three days earlier and a little east on Main, Thonglor opened at 4350 Main St., Suite 140, inside Legacy Crossing.
The two places have one thing in common, and so do most of this year's other openings nearby. They aren't the newest branches of something that started elsewhere. Pho Republic is the first location of a family recipe project. Thonglor calls its Frisco restaurant its flagship. For Country Club Ridge, the stretch of Main Street at the bottom of the neighborhood has become where these menus start.
The Edge of the Map Is Main Street
The Trails of West Frisco sits just north of Main Street, with FM 423 on the west and Teel Parkway on the east. The Trails of Frisco Golf Club sits just north of the neighborhood. That puts Main Street, which is also FM 720, along the southern side of everything Country Club Ridge calls home.
For years, west Main has been the road you take somewhere else. This fall it is also the road where the newest kitchens in this part of Frisco are opening their doors. Here is how the 2026 openings line up, by date.
| Opened in 2026 | Place | Address | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| June 5 | Bread Zeppelin | 4331 Main St., Ste. 120 | Salads served inside a hollowed-out baguette |
| Aug. 1 | The Kindoven Dessert Cafe | 2428 Stonebrook Pkwy, Unit 265 | Family-run bakery cafe with pastries, coffee, tea, matcha |
| Oct. 5 | Thonglor | 4350 Main St., Ste. 140 | Flagship Thai and Isan restaurant |
| Oct. 8 | Pho Republic | 2525 Main St., Ste. 400 | First location, Vietnamese pho and bánh mì |
Three of the four are either a first location or run by a family. The fourth, Bread Zeppelin, is the only one with a record somewhere else. It's a Dallas-born concept, and the Frisco shop is its 11th location in Texas.
Pho Republic Is a Family Recipe Book With a Storefront
The team behind Pho Republic also runs Sayuri Asian Cuisine. When the new restaurant was announced, they explained in a social media post, as quoted by Community Impact, why they were opening it:
"Pho Republic is more than just a restaurant to us. It's a way to preserve and share our family's traditional Vietnamese recipes—the flavors we grew up with, made with the same love and care you would find in our mother's home kitchen."
The announced lineup includes daily-made pho, bánh mì, rice dishes, iced coffee, fresh smoothies, hojicha and matcha. The broth is made every day. On a late-October evening, when Frisco finally cools off after sunset, that's the most useful detail on the list.
The soft opening is where the "first" in first location shows up. The menu at the October 8 opening was a starting version, set to get longer after the grand opening. The restaurant's Pho Republic West Frisco Facebook page is the place to check for the grand-opening date and the current menu.
Thonglor Picked Legacy Crossing for Its Flagship
Thonglor is the other half of the October pair, and it went for range. Community Impact's opening report lists fried red snapper, pad kra pao, drunken udon noodles, egg drop soup, grilled lobster, chicken wings, grilled pork jowl and lamb curry. For dessert there's mango and sticky rice.
The restaurant also offers pickup, delivery and event catering. If you're hosting a fall gathering at home, a flagship restaurant this close by is handy.
The City of Frisco's certificate-of-occupancy report for September 2026 shows the space being cleared before opening day. Thonglor's suite at Legacy Crossing, 2,148 square feet, was finaled on September 14, three weeks before the doors opened. The restaurant's own site is thonglorfrisco.com.
Legacy Crossing Has Been Filling In All Year
Thonglor didn't land in an empty center. Bread Zeppelin opened at 4331 Main St. back on June 5, on the same Legacy Drive stretch of Main. The concept is easy to explain to kids and out-of-town guests. You get a made-to-order salad served inside a hollowed-out baguette.
Put the two together and the Legacy Drive end of west Main now covers a quick lunch and a sit-down dinner. Bread Zeppelin is the one with eleven Texas locations behind it. Thonglor is the one Frisco gets first.
The Morning Half of the Routine Is on Stonebrook
The Kindoven Dessert Cafe opened August 1 at 2428 Stonebrook Parkway, Unit 265, and it fits the same pattern. It's family-run and bakes its pastries from scratch, with coffee, tea and matcha drinks alongside.
It opened two months before the Main Street pair, so it isn't brand new to anyone who has driven past since summer. What's new is the full picture. A weekend in west Frisco can now start at a family bakery and end at a first-location pho shop or a flagship Thai kitchen, all in west Frisco.
Getting There While Teel Parkway Is Still Torn Up
One practical note for the drive. Frisco's widening of Teel Parkway from Olive Branch Road to Stafford Middle School was still under construction in August, and Community Impact's transportation roundup projected completion in early 2027. Farther north, the City of Frisco moved traffic on Teel Parkway between Fields Parkway and Rockhill Parkway onto the new northbound bridge side on October 2 while bridge work continues.
If your usual route uses Teel, plan for construction lane shifts until that work wraps up.
A Saturday Built Around the New Openings
Here is one way to build a cool fall Saturday around three stops, with a choice at dinner:
- Morning pastries and a matcha at The Kindoven on Stonebrook Parkway.
- Lunch at Bread Zeppelin at 4331 Main St., for anyone who wants something light and handheld.
- Dinner at Pho Republic at 2525 Main St. for daily-made pho, or at Thonglor in Legacy Crossing, saving the mango sticky rice for last.
Checking hours before you go makes sense for the October openings in particular, since both restaurants were only a few weeks old in late October.
Every stop is on or just off Main Street, and three of the four started here or are run by a family.
I keep a close eye on what's opening along Main Street because it's part of daily life in Country Club Ridge. If you want a heads-up when Pho Republic sets its grand-opening date, or you're curious what else is coming to the corridor, Ana Candido is always happy to talk, in English or Spanish. Let's Connect.
